The above Puppy has been carefully raised under sanitary conditions and, to the
best of our knowledge, is of sound temperament, is in excellent health and is
guaranteed free from communicable disease.
2.
All puppies are veterinarian-checked, de-wormed and vaccinated. Buyer has been
advised as to any pertinent medical history, including present status of
immunity, and is hereby urged to have Puppy examined by a licensed veterinarian
within seventy-two (72) hours from date when buyer assumes custody of puppy.
Veterinarians
who are
not familiar with the
Chihuahua breed may not
realize that 80-90% of Chihuahua’s have a molera, also called fontanel, and that
this is a breed characteristic and not a defect or cause for concern. (This is
a similar to a “soft spot” on a baby’s head.)

In the event that said Puppy, upon veterinary examination, is found to be
sufficiently medically unsound as to warrant return, the Buyer shall immediately
notify
Rocky Mountain Chihuahuas (hereinafter referred to as
the
"Seller.")
The Puppy shall be returned, accompanied by a hand-written
statement of all findings from said veterinarian: In which case, said Puppy
shall be replaced with another puppy of equal value when one is available. It is
Buyer’s monetary responsibility to return said Puppy to Seller. Any monies to be
refunded, either in part or in whole, shall be at Seller’s option.
4.
It is clearly understood that Seller shall not assume liability for veterinary
expenses incurred by Buyer unless through prior arrangement: In which case,
Seller reserves the right to choose the treating veterinarian.
5.
Any future claims made, based upon subsequent developments of a pathological
nature traceable to genetic and/or congenital nature, shall be evaluated based
upon the dog’s resulting physical incapacity to continue to serve the purpose
for which it was purchased (e.g., family pet). We will replace any puppy that is
diagnosed with a life threatening genetic disorder as confirmed in writing by a
licensed Veterinarian.
6.
We offer a Lifetime Return Policy of our dogs. If, for a valid reason, a Buyer
can no longer keep the purchased dog, the Seller has first right of refusal and
whenever possible will take said dog back from the Buyer and try to find it a
good home.
7. Buyer must acknowledge that
Chihuahuas must be fed a high quality dog food, and feeding a raw diet voids the
guarantee.
8.
Other than the terms stated above, Seller makes no further guarantees and cannot
guarantee adult size or colour.
This health agreement was agreed to by both Buyer
and Seller on __________________, 200__.
