Information for Prospective New Families

About our Dogs:

Our breeding dogs live in our home and receive plenty of attention daily. All of our breeding dogs are good with children and are used to being handled by our young grandchildren.

Our puppies also receive daily attention and have been socialized with our other dogs, adults and with young children.

Purchasing:

To be placed on the waiting list, please complete our puppy questionnaire and e-mail or mail it to us. You will receive e-mail confirmation about your status on the waiting list.

If/when a litter becomes available, you will be contacted according to your placement on the waiting list (first come, first serve!). Once you choose a puppy, a $200 non-refundable deposit is required for each puppy. Pups will not be marked as "sold" until the deposit is received. Balance is due on pick up date.

Kennel Fees:

All pups will go to their new families at approximately 8 weeks of age. Pick up days/times will be pre-arranged. If pups stay with us past their pick up day, a kennel fee of $5/day may be applied

Shipping:

We do not ship these tiny puppies. We welcome new owners to come visit the puppies’ birth home and family when they choose and/or pick up their puppy in person.

Other Information:

Every new puppy goes home with a "Baby Book Personalized Information Binder", special puppy food, a soft toy, treats and a receiving blanket that has scents of litter mates and Mom.
Prior to going home, all the pups are vet checked, get their first set of shots, deworming and their own health record.
The pups are micro chipped for identification.
Our pups come with 6 weeks of health insurance coverage for up to $1150.00 in medical costs. New owners have the option of paying to extend the coverage if they so choose.
All Rocky Mountain Chihuahuas come with a health guarantee.
We provide continued support and advice for the adoptive parents on line or by phone. You can feel free to contact us with your questions or concerns.
We also provide a discount certificate towards your purchases from Chi Chi Fashions, a boutique for tiny dogs. When you pick up your puppy, we offer “take home sized” t-shirts for $5.00.

All Chihuahuas must be fed a high quality dog food, and feeding a raw diet voids our health guarantee.
